The Meseta is a large, high plain that covers the centre of the peninsula.
The Sistema Central is a mountain chain that divides the Meseta Central into the norte and the Submeseta .
Mountains surrounding the Meseta Central are Cordillera Cantábrica to the , Sistema Ibérico to the northwest and Sierra to the southeast.
